Biography

"Until you have walked a mile in every persons shoes you are not done learning."

Karen Fox holds a BS in Theater with a Musical Theater Minor from Southern Oregon University. She spent three summers studying improv at The Second City, Improv Olympic, and performing at Jam nights at Music Comedy Live in Chicago Il. She works as a professional actor in the bay area and teaches Improv and acting classes at Bay Area Children's Theater in Oakland, and is a company member with East Bay Children's Theater. This year she will be starting her second year as Bobbie the Elf in 'Morgan and the Magical Christmas Train' for the Sierria River Train in Sacramento. She is so happy to be developing a Theater Arts program for CORE. She is a skilled character actor and some of her past roles include; The Wicked Queen in That’s Our Snow White! at East Bay Children’s Theater, Betty Grace in The First Supper at Altarena Play House, Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast and Sister Berta in The Sound of Music at California Regional Theater, and Mae Pollitt  in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof  at Theater on the Ridge. At SOU she puppeteer-ed Nicky in Avenue Q and played the voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors.
